Today when my two grown children came to visit I prepared a special family meal. There was plenty of healthy choice foods available and a bit of the not so healthy. They are both slim and have never really had weight issues (I am so grateful for that). What I noticed is that their portions were small and they did not overboard on all the not so healthy foods. They ate "normally"
The good thing was that I DID THE SAME THING without white knuckling it. I ate the healthy foods in normal proportions and had a taste of the not so healthy. Long ago I thought I could not even take one bite. I don't seem to have this problem now. There is so much to lose, if I go down that track. I don't just mean putting the weight back on. I don't want to lose how I feel about myself and life now, since SP. So this blog was a bit of gratitude and thankfulness.
