The good news is, I'm still running. 28 minutes today, to be exact. I'm still very slow, but I am just glad that I am building endurance for now. I'm still on track for a 5K in June. More good news: I'm getting more consistent about lifting weights. Bad news: I haven't lost any weight in a couple of months.

Bad news: I'm down to 3 or 4 workouts a week. My work schedule just isn't as predictable as it used to be , so I can't always count on getting in a workout at lunch time. I used to manage 5-6 workouts a week.

Everything else is about the same: my husband is still waiting for his job to start, I'm still enjoying my work, but not enjoying some of the people at work that unfortunately, I can't avoid.

The soccer season has started, so part of my weekend is taken up going to my daughter's games and taking pictures. (She's a goalie.) I still manage to ride my bike at least one day a weekend. I've made some changes to my seat height and tilt that I think will enable me to ride more comfortably. The weather has been nice. It is really spring here. My son and I saw an eagle's nest on one of the islands in the Potomac. You can see it from the Tow Path. We did not see any eagles, but we are hoping that if we keep going, it will happen. I thought spotting the nest was pretty exciting. My son's favorite part of our recent bike ride was seeing a water snake. What do you think? eagle, or water snake?

Not much else is new here. My first Spark anniversary is coming up in a couple of weeks. My son is calling me, so I have to go upstairs now.

It sounds like you are doing the best you can do in your situation at the moment. I am always inspired by you. Congrats on doing so well with your running.
I can relate to the part about not losing any weight. I have hit a stop I do not understand.
I vote for seeing an eagle over seeing a water snake any day. One day on the way to church I was looking down on the river bank (I live on the Delaware) and saw a bald eagle. It thrilled me- wished I had a camera ready.
YOu are doing such a great job.

You're stuck in the middle bit now - you've seen the exciting bit at the beginning where you start losing weight and seeing big improvements in fitness. The end bit is where you really see the goal getting close. The middle is the difficult bit but you can do it! You have come such a long way already, and made so many changes, there is no way you will not get to your goal.

I am so proud of you girl. You are really working hard and doing your best to exercise. Lifting weights changes your body but not your weight sometimes. I didn't lose weight for a long while, then some came of. It takes time. :)

I am so excited to see your cards! And to be Skyping soon! Yeah! Now, I gotta find my good internet camera..
