Paying attention

Well here it goes, going down the weight loss trail again. Since I have started my weight loss journey, there are a few things that I like to cling to to keep me upbeat and positive. I am very proud of the fact that I am constantly aware of what I am eating, even though it may not always be the healthiest. I used to just eat what I wanted, and didn't even pay attention to what my hand was putting in my mouth. Well that may not sound much like a feat, but it really is. I mean, we go through life and not really pay attention to much of what we are doing...it's all habit.

That is what I am most proud of, paying attention to what I am eating now. That is, however, how I got here in the first place, not caring or paying attention to what I stuffed in my face. Now I do. Like I said, it may not be the healthiest food always going in my mouth, but I am paying attention. emoticon
