a gray shouldn't be a big deal... but AN EYEBROW HAIR!!???!

#*&$^(*@#&$^ Is all I wanted to say this morning when I plucked an eyebrow hair and *gasping, stepping away from the mirror* it was a GRAY eyebrow hair.....my first. I know it has been a stressful week, but really, this is uncalled for.

Now for anyone who has gray eyebrows, please forgive me, this is a point of vanity. It all goes back to who's grandma do I resemble the most. Of course I do not take after my mom's side of the family, petite blond, firm tush until you are 70 (no kidding).

No, I take after Dad's side, SADDLEBAGS that are rivaled ONLY by those ladies in those romantic-era paintings, and, yes, bushy eyebrows that turn gray and sproinky in old age. I love my sproinky-eyebrowed grandma, she made fantastic mac n cheese, but PLEEEESSSEEEE, I do not want to have her butt or her eyebrows!!!!! (Oh have mercy!!!)

So, the offending hair is plucked. I will be looking for more. After I ended my work day, I didn't go buy a bottle of wine to drown my eyebrow sorrows, instead, I went for a run. Intervals. Believe me, they kicked my saddlebags.

I have hope again.

Oh, you made me smile this morning! I started going grey at about the age of 13 . I really don't know what my natural hair color is anymore and if I did not have such a close relationship with Miss Clairol , I would be snow white. But, I have not found a grey hair in my eyebrows yet. Are their products for coloring them? :)

I take after the large side of my family gene pool also. Got the hips and calves to prove it. Thank goodness my babyjoy takes after her fathers side of the family with the hips. :)

Well, now I have to follow your example and see if I can run off some of my saddlebags.

Hugs and on to another day of fighting genetics. :)

PS. I'm not even going to look for a gray eyebrow hair. I've been dieing my hair for over 15 years so I'm sure there are a few grays sneaking up on me.
