Today's a good day!

Tuesday, April 07, 2009

I made friends recently in a bereavement group. People who had shared the same thing that I did, the most horrible thing life could give you the loss of your best friend. I met people who are warm and caring who, if I had not gone through this, I would never have encountered. What a gift!
I feel very blessed right now, I have a good job, comfortable house and the ability to feel safe and loved. I found out I have really loving and caring friends at work and at sparks. I only wish I could mean as much to someone else, as all of these people have made a difference in my life.
I have things to look forward to. My daughter is coming in end of May from Indiana, I am in Florida, with her boyfriend to visit. My brother is coming to Orlando in May/June along with my cousins. My sister is coming in from Wyoming around the same time and we will spend 2 days all together in Disneyworld.
I feel well and have only a minimum amount of pain and am able to exercise.
It is spring and all the plants and trees are green with new leaves.
My car is running well. Gas isn't above $2.
I have choices about what I eat.
Easter is this week. Passover is this week.
The sun is shining. My cats are happy.
My children and I are healthy.

You have meant a lot to me, just so you know! I love reading your posts and am glad you are making a gratitude list. I need to do that myself. Much easier to be positive when the sun is shining and the birds singing!
