Wow...I didn't know I could

Ok...It had been since July that I hadn't gone to the gym much. I started back there a week ago tomorrow. I had been using the treadmill at home a few weeks prior to joining SparkPeople. I decided last Friday that I hate the treadmill....too boring.....I love the elliptical. Burn more calories faster and an awesome workout. Well, anyhow, anytime that I had slacked off going on a regular basis....6 minutes on the elliptical was about all I could handle for about 4 days. Back then, I was a smoker. I have been smoke free for almost 5 weeks. The best change I have made as of yet. Ok, so last Friday, I mustered up the courage and headed for the gym! I was not sure how I would do. I hadn't gone to the gym as a non-smoker. I got on the elliptical (after stretching) and started on my way. I got to the 5 minute mark and I was feeling good. No serious pain. The came around 10 minutes....still going....15 minutes..at this point...I am really proud of myself.....20 minutes...heck, I 've come this far, let's shoot for 30 minutes...I actually did it. OMG...Well, I figured that when I woke up Saturday, I wouldn't be able to walk. Saturday came around and I was fine. No soreness. I went out to Academy and bought me a Swiss Ball for the strength exercises. I enjoy using the ball because it allows me to take my time at my house. The gym is mostly for cardio and I go for my lunch hour.
Anyhow, back on track here....I went back Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday...30 minutes each day. Great Calorie burning.....I went back this afternoon. I wanted to go after work today and just see how far I could take this. I challenged myself to 32 minutes

...I managed to do a full 36 minutes on the elliptical without stopping.
I am totally committed to staying within my Calorie Range and faithfully do cardio 5x a week. I feel great!!! And I know that results take time, but I am going to adjust to my new lifestyle change. It is the best one ever.
