What a week!

Well, update!! The Flector Patch is working and keeps moving from place to place on my bod. LOL!!! I have "traveling" pain and muscle cramps but whereever that may be, the patch is working. It takes some silk tape to keep it sticking while at work due to getting hot and sweaty.

Computer documentation is painless now for me. I have run into a few people that are just unwilling to learn and can't do much about that.

Got a great opportunity at work for working on the Di Vinci robotics surgery technology. We are in training now and will complete a normal 90-day training course in 2 1/2 weeks. We already have many booked cases for this and I'm excited to see it implemented for our patients.

For the first time since I have lived in Wichita, we had a Blizzard warning for the past two days. It started out as rain, sleet, freezing rain, etc and finally to snow. So we have a combo of an ice storm that will be both pretty and destructive once the sun comes out and lots of snow to boot. Wichita did not get it as bad as some places I think but still bad enough.

I'm on call tomorrow (Sunday) and expect to be called in because it will be around 52 and roads will be clear enough to GET to the hospital, especially from western Kansas where they closed roads and Med Flight was grounded due to weather. So figure accidents will be coming out of the woodwork tomorrow. Maybe now, but that's awfully optimistic.

So, with our spring storm, it looks like Christmas icycles on everything and pretty much ruined anything with buds or flowers on it.

Have decided I want a raised bed for veggie gardening and herbs. Will save my back and thought it might be fun and pretty to look at. Wondering about planting miniature stuff since it's just Bill and I.

We just stayed indoors today and watched DVD and I read. Being lazy on Saturday is getting to be a routine -- one that I need to adjust slightly to include SOME sort of productivity.

Can't sleep tonight probably due to not enough activity and too much caffiene.

I'm cleared for treadmilling, so will begin that tomorrow. Hopefully, the team stats will come up some more if I'm really really good and fairthful about this.

Working hard on getting back in the pink of things. PAM

The Davinci robot is indeed exciting. We have had them at the two hospitals I work at for 5+ years. 2 sumers ago I actually got to "play" witht the robot part, very hard to lift a dime with those alligator clips. Good luck with your training

WOW! I just read through your last 4/5 blogs. You have had a busy 2 weeks! I think you deserved a saturday to be lazy! (even if it makes the routine a little harder to get back into!)

I will add you to my prayers. I hope your non-surgical methods help you tremendously. I had back surgery on lower back and 15 years later I have a protruding dick which I control through my physical therapy lessons. I did not do surgery again because the new problem probably resulted from the first one and I wanted to get off that carousel!

I know you are a determined and YOUNG 60 who will make the best of what you have in front of you!

    GO PAM! emoticon
