Never count him out...

Here is an update on this wonderful man. Boy I tell you, you sure can't count him out. He has once again rallied and is doing well enough to be moved from 2 wks in the ICU to a regular room. I just got word that the vent has been taken out and he is feeling pretty good. The nurses told my Aunt to bring in his teeth (LOL) so he could wear them. That is how good things are right now. I was told that they will be at least sitting him up on the edge of the bed today.
What a miraculous turn around of even a week ago. He has had about three dialysis treatments and the doctors are holding off doing anymore til they see how well his kidneys do on their own. Ah, the power of modern medicene. Thank you to the doctors and wonderful nursing staff at Rockford Memorial Hospital , Rockford Il. for all their wonderful care. They could not have been nicer to us as a family (there were many of us there) nor to my Aunt and Uncle.
I thank all of my Spark friends for their marvelous support and prayers. They listened to me daily and cared when I didn't get a chance to check in too often. You don't know how much it has meant.
Here is a picture of this wonderful loving couple who has been such an important part of my life. It was taken right after their marriage almost 59 years ago. Here's to the next 59!
