I LOVE the new me!!

Today is 3-19-09, I have been counting my calories and exercising now since 2-2-09. It was very hard in the beginning and very upsetting to see how fast your calories add up in a day...God I over ate my calories for years!! But with the help from my good friend Lisa and the friends I've made here at Spark I pushed on and as of today I have lost 16 lbs...I can't believe it and I have to say that once I got over the initial shock and pushed through the exercising it started to feel easier, I mean if you know how many calories you should eat and you pay attention and not just blindly eat then how much easier are you looking for?? Then adding exercise every day, and I don't mean joining a gym, some work out class, I mean stuff you can do at home, videos, DANCING, walking, working with weights etc....wow it was inside of me all the time....THANK YOU AGAIN Lisa for telling me about Spark, I know I keep saying that, but I just can't help telling you over and over, it has been awesome for me, I feel proud and I feel healthier! Rheal said to me last week while we were grocery shopping "My God Michele we spend a half an hour now in the Produce dept!"..of course it's not a half hour, but we do eat a TON of veggies and fruits now..I never ate veggies or fruit...now I love them and with the help of the great recipes here at Spark it's easy to make healthy, quick, DELICIOUS foods! I have to pinch myself sometimes...who is this woman I've become?? I'm eating a ton of veggies and fruits, drinking gallons of water,I'm exercising every day and loving every minute of it....I've actually followed through with something for a change in my life and it's showing! I love this new person I've become and it's going to be forever now...I feel so different, it's amazing and again easy once you get it...you have to get that there are serving sizes for a reason...calories MATTER and you must move your body in some way PERIOD..it's that simple! I think everybody should join Sparkpeople or at least count their calories, there would be a whole lot less overeating and obesity in this world if people did. And I'm spreading the Spark.... I'm telling as many people that will listen as I can LOL!
