Test today

Monday, March 16, 2009

So today was the day of my endoscopy. All my anxiety over the actual procedure, and really there was nothing to it! The waiting was the worst part. Otherwise, I just sort of went to sleep and woke up with apple juice in my hand--piece of cake!

Both fortunately and unfortunatley, there wasn't really much news for me. The good part of this is that I know now that there is nothing physiologically wrong with my stomach. The bad part of this is that there is still no definitive answer for the nausea. From here, I try a new medication and I look into having my gall bladder removed (which is full of small stones--a very possible culprit for the nausea). Anyway, I'm relieved to have the test behind me and hopeful that better days are to come.

And in the meantime, with the exception of today (my food today consisted of a quart of egg drop soup and some jello), my eating continues to be good, solid, and healthy. I've not yet stepped up the exercise, but intend to make that next month's goal.

For now, off to nurse this awful sore throat that's lingering from this test. Ouch!

"Both fortunately and unfortunately" -- so true. It's a bummer not to have an ANSWER yet, but it IS good to know your stomach is looking good. *HUGS*
