Day 3 of my new lifestyle

Monday, March 16, 2009

The alarm went off at 7:00 and I actually was ready to get up! Don't remember the last time that happened. I have come to the conclusion that all of those bad carbs I had been eating really bogging me down. By eating the right carbs I am giving my body the energy it needs! That stubborn scale has finally moved too! I was so excited to see 155.0 this morning! I has been so long since I have seen that number. But truly the scale doesn't matter, I mean it is nice to see it go down, but the way I feel is rewarding enough. My skin looks great, I have energy, and most of all I am never hungry!

So day 1 & 2 - did ok. It was a weekend, and I am not so great on the weekends...too many temptations at home, so I did have a few tastes and bites here and there and a couple of glasses of wine. But I still managed to lose .6 pounds. I am still getting used to the ratios and which foods satisfy which nutrient, but I am getting better at it. Also my portion sizes have gone down dramatically. By eating every 2 1/2 to 3 hours you really don't need to eat a lot at one time, so I have more like mini meals. I am happy and I feel great!

    Awesome Job!!!
You're going right along... Don't let yesterday trip you or discourage you from what you can do today. I'm so glad you've gotten on board. I think it REALLY works.

    You're doing fantastic!

See - I gave you my word it would work, and lo and behold, you're doing great. The weight loss is just an added bonus. But the fact that you were able to get up without being in a carb coma is HUGE! I am so proud of you honey. Just keep moving forward - no looking back no matter what choices you make. I am here if/when you need anything.
