I got my Scale - Get out your tissues, this is sad.....

Tuesday, March 10, 2009

Ok, so…..I haven’t weighed my self in several WEEKS but I noticed I need to do an update on MY progress so I jumped on the scale this morning….AND I was 154 and some change!!! So I’m super stoked because even tho that’s not my goal # it’s about 12 lbs or more down from a month ago!! I run downstairs doing a naked, happy dance that I’m under 160!!! Shouting it to my boyfriend, Haley my daughter, the dogs, the cat, Woo Hoo!!! I go BACK upstairs, jump on again (to boost my ego even further of course), still 154! Great! Well I have a tiled bathroom floor, but it’s the “little” tiles, not big squares like I have downstairs so I move the scale and jump on again (at this point I’m so stoked I could jump on that scale over and over again, all day, to see that great number) AND low and behold I’ve been PUNKED!!! I’m 164 (or 163 and change)….the scale was off because of the tiles and where it was positioned….Don’t you know I moved that sucker around and around again and again to get it back to that # and couldn’t….Damn it!!! Oh well…I’m still happy, I’m down a few but more importantly I feel good, I feel less “jiggly” and a lot of people are noticing a difference in me so that is by far, more important than that #, but damn did it feel great to see it!!! SO!! I’m will continue to go Harder, Better, Faster Stronger until I see that # for REAL next time!!! emoticon

Punked is right. To be completely overjoyed then crushed. Well now you've got to prove that scale wrong and work hard to actually acheive that 154.

    Loved your story

I do notice a difference in you and I know the feeling of wanting to see a difference int he scale. I been there a while. What's the alternative? Go back to not exercising and eating unhealthy things? I DON'T THINK SO!!!!!! You are on the right track. keep it up. That kickboxing might come in handy in more ways than you know. lol. Besides, less jiggly is a good thing.

OMG I know the feeling! I am 225, and I just moved into a place that is carpeted everywhere but the kitchen So I weighed in the bathroom as always and it said I was 160. Haha I stripped to my bra and panties like always and took it to the kitchen and reweighed myself I am the same old 225 that I have been for all my twenties!

How awesome to see that number of 154, even if it was a mistake, you know you are on the right track to actually getting there. Congrats on your progress so far!

I'm sorry the scale did that too you. You have come a longs ways though. The Happy Dance must have been a sight to see! LOL. I agree with you though that, how your clothes fit and how you feel about yourself, is far more important than the numbers on the scale!! You have a wonderful attitude girlfriend!!
