Pity Party

Thursday, February 26, 2009

When I was walking on the treadmill today, I was thinking about how much I hated being there when I noticed that Oprah was at Walter Reed Hospital interviewing veterans who had been injured in Iraq. I couldn't help but start to cry and realize how really lucky I am to be home and able to go to do anything I want. I then looked down the line of treadmills and here's a guy who looks like he's had a stroke and he's working out. I have no room to complain about my life. I'm so lucky to have what I have.

Maybe it started out to be a pity party but you turned it around and made it a positive, that's what counts! I know when things like this happen to me that I can't help but think it's Gods way of giving us a jump start. Even when we don't know it ,he lifts us up.
