What setbacks?

Tuesday, February 24, 2009

I haven't had a "Setback" in years.
I've maintained a good weight and fitness because this is a set of habits and a way of life. There are times when I have less energy, or when I have a terrific, extravagant meal, but I don't call this a setback. It's an interesting interlude, and in the case of something delicious, worth every calorie. I just go back to my diet and exercise, and there is no problem.
I remember times I felt there were Setbacks. That was when the whole diet and exercise thing felt like something was imposed on me, and when it felt like a matter of virtue and guilt. That just never worked for me. It definitely is a matter of attitude.

I just have to say .. I was looking for stuff on SP for my mom who is Diabetic and 74 yrs young and found your page! I think you are so cute and I love your attitude. I wish for mom to be as into life as you are. I am looking for her because she would never get on here by herself. She doesn't have a computer either. But even if she did she wouldn't do it. I printed some good articles for her from here and well anyway.. I just wanted to say " You Inspire Me!" Thanks!
