I had a birthday; good thing they only come once a year

Well, this weekend has been one long party. Friday night we went out to a French restaurant for my birthday. Saturday we had a) a Bat Mitzvah to attend, and b) another birthday dinner, this time at a Moroccan restaurant. In between the two events, I fell asleep on the couch and did not get any exercise.
There is a good reason I don't keep a lot of sweets around the house. I am really bad especially when there are a lot of sweets around, and I'm bored. Today we had another party to go to; it was for the cast of a play that my husband was in, and it was more his crowd than mine. I was a little out of my element, and it seemed like the cookies were calling me. (I answered the call.) I'm actually looking forward to going back to work tomorrow, and getting back into my predictable routine with my exercise schedule and my low fat food.
On the good side, I got enough birthday money to go out and buy the bicycle I've been wanting, as well as the rack to carry it on the back of my car. I pick it up at the shop tomorrow. I'm really excited. I haven't owned a bicycle since I was a kid. It's a 2009 Schwinn Voyageur, and it's really comfortable. Now I'll be able to ride around the neighborhood, take it to parks, and maybe even run errands on it and save some gas.
Also this week, my daughter and I joined the Road Runners Club in our area, and she is planning to train with me for a 5K. There are training events as well as races, and I should be in pretty good shape to finish a 5K in late April or early May. I ordered a couple of books on running faster and staying fit.
That's all for now.
