It hurts to be obese...

It is painful to be obese. That sounds like such an obvious statement, but have you taken a moment to consider it? I hadn't until recently.
This occurred to me as I was waiting for my husband to pick me up from school. I hoisted my considerably heavy backpack up onto a bench, but discovered that I didn't feel like sitting down myself.
"WHAT? What do you mean you don't want to sit down....that's.....UNHEARD OF!"
That was my brain stuttering over this new non-sitting concept. My mind has a big, fat mouth sometimes.
So I was standing there remembering what it was like when I was at my heaviest. There's no way I would have been able to stand for 20 minutes without my feet, back, and basically my entire body KILLING me.
It's hard work being obese. Getting into a sitting position is hard. Standing back up is harder. Walking is always accompanied by wheezing and sweating no matter if you're walking a mile or just across the street.
And those are only some of the physical aspects! Then there are the social issues. Always feeling like people are staring while you're eating. Finding clothes is a nightmare. I don't think I'm the only one who has noticed these problems, am I?
So, I've decided that I'm too lazy to stay obese. It's too hard. Too much work. I'd rather get into shape and stay there.
That way I can stand for an hour if hubby is REALLY late picking me up!
Love to you all, my friends. We are getting healthier and stronger with every choice we make. Thank you for your continued support and strength. It makes all the difference to me.
