Making jogging a habit

Did 40 minutes on the treadmill today for the first time. I spent the first and last 5 minutes to warm up and cool down respectively, and the 30 mins between having blocks of 5 mins where I jogged for 3 mins at a pace of 13 - 14 minutes per mile and walked the remaining two minutes at 15 - 1 6 minutes a mile pace. It was hard, I wanted to finish it earlier but wanted to press on so that I know I am pushing myself and not just settling into a routine exercise rut where I don't work out much.


My short term goals are to go to one exercise class at my gym by the end of the month, none of which I have attended; and to go jogging outside at least once by the end of the month even if I do a mixture of walking and jogging - maybe do in Regents or Hyde park?

My long-term goal - lose weight and be healthy!

    I hear ya. I just started walk/jogging over the past couple of years and I love it. Especially, on a beautiful day in the park.
