Made it to goal and slipped a bit.

August of 2008 I made it to goal. Total loss of 130 pounds. I climbed a very high mountain at the Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park in CO !!! Then I watched the very slow return of each pound....5... and then the holidays came....8... and cold winter....15.... and my exercise fell away...22....! I seen the pounds creeping back on. I was trying not to over eat and eat the right foods but I know the mistakes I made...I didn't have a good plan, I didn't keep a food journal, I stop my exercise, and I slacked up on going to OA meetings. I was repeating old bad habits that won't work for me. So now I'm trying to get back to what does work...shakes again to get off what came back...just a short while! I'm already back to walking and know my plan of action for food and will journal because I need that to learn! and it's got to be a forever effort...including holidays, winter, hard times and good times. ONE THING I DID RIGHT...I journalised my story from beginning to end and that journal is now the BEST TOOL because I can read in it my fears, feelings, and pleas to myself to safe guard my successes. It is a story that speaks to me! I believe after this that I will keep a closer eye on the scale and try very much harder at keeping my weight steady only 5-10 fluctuation! I'm thankful for my medical weigh-ins that keep me in check and for this prescription shake program to turn the weight gain back to weight loss.
