Alot of pain today

This morning I woke up and was in awful pain, in my back and hips and body aches. Took hot shower, lyrica and pain meds. It helped for a short while and tonight the pain is back. Anyone know of a good back exercise to strengthen the muscles in my back. I am game to try anything.

    Try doing some core exercises for your back. Check out the "core exercises" on the fitness page of SP, or try one of Coach Nicole's abs or Pilates videos. Make sure you work both your abs AND lower back, since they both work to support your spine. Try some stretches as well (again, some examples can be found on the fitness page). Stretching really helps me a lot with pain and stiffness. I try to do a few stretches before bed each night, and of course after workouts.

    I also saw your posts on the fighting fibro boards ("down with pampering pain"). Please be gentle with yourself when you don't feel well, but keep that attitude of not letting pain rule you. Hang in there, and please use the FF boards for support when you need it. We are all stronger than we realize, and together we are stronger still.
