focus and get off of the gloom and doom thoughts I have had lately. I realize that it is up to me to turn a frown into something better. To freely laugh and not be annoyed by silly things is a much better way to live.

Sometimes I have to slow down and take stock of self and surroundings. It is time to be thankful for the wonderful things in my life. I live in a comfortable house and I can still afford to heat it and pay taxes. Our newspapers are full of people out of work and having trouble putting the food on the table. Others are singing/playing music in the subway sytems of large cities just for tips and a chance to do a days work.

I am not going to whine about my problems because it doesn't change anything and I know things could be a lot worse. So everyone put on your smilely face and have a great week. Bernie emoticon

I am grateful every day that I have a roof over my head, a job (even when I hate it), and my daughter and I are healthy. It does put a smile on my face.
Keep up with the positive attitude and sharing it with us.

Yes... it sure opens one's eyes when you look to your left and right... and then realize that your problems aren't really all that big. It happens to me all the time, and I think that is why I tend to look on the bright side more often than not. Believe me, it is not inherited. I come from a family of complainers, and it comes naturally. It's hard to beat... but it can be done!
