The Narrow Way

Fallen fallen fallen turn to him and be saved. Fallen fallen fallen you need a savior. I have a question How can a dead man pass through a narrow gate? This is so important and since salvation is more about; than anything else the declaration of Gods power to the universe you can be asured that if God has saved a person he has changed that person in the very core of their being and he will continue working in that person to bring about sanctification and conformity to Christ.
Many have made there decision for Christ but there are no marks of true christianity in there lives. Its because a mere human decision is not equal to the supernatural regenerating work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the true believer. Jesus is the only way, Jesus is everything. He is before all things all things were made by him, through him and for him.
Being born again not only enables us to pass through the narrow gate but also enables us to walk in the narrow way. We are not to walk in the narrow way grudgingly we dont walk in the narrow way as some horrible duty that we must fulfill in order to obtain heaven. We walk in the narrow way because our heart has been changed to love the narrow way.
Because the narrow way is the way to find primarily by the teachings of Jesus Christ and since we love Christ and we love his teachings we love walking in the narrow way.
As John tells us in 1 John this is not burdensome its a delight. Now that is not to say there is not a struggle with the flesh and the devil and a struggle against the world but the essential part of who we really are delights in the law of God and delights in Christ. Its a narrow way because its marked out by his book I want you to know people will come and say to me I have a new relationship with Christ and I say do you have a new relationship with his word?
Because if you dont have a new relationship with his word you dont have a new relationship with him. You see this narrow way is not just outward principals and external things although it will effect it, its about regulating your heart bringing your heart and mind to the submission to the word of God. It is a narrow way it is a rough difficult way. It is a way of battle, it is uphill, it is against the world, the flesh, your culture, it is against everything you've been taught outside of scripture.
This is a narrow way fighting against the world. It is realizing with desperation that this is the only way, the only hope Christ is salvation heaven is the goal if I have to lose everything I WILL LOSE IT!!
Christ has to be everything to us or he is nothing to us he cant be any other way thats why he demands absolute everything whenever he makes a demand. Absolute loyalty, absolute confidence, absolute giving away of self for the sake of him and his kingdom and his righteousness.
In spite of all the sufferings his yoke is easy and his burden is light because he carries that for us and he carries us. God who began a good work in us will finish it.
