A Milestone

It's been a month since I've had any wine and table salt. (Well, to be honest, I still put a little salt on eggs, but other than that, I've kept the salt shaker off the table.) And in that time, I've lost about 8 pounds. I feel really good about that. Now I'll try for two months-February is a short month, right?

Does anyone have any good recipes using herbs and/or spices to give a little "punch" to the salt-free foods?

    That is great! The salt habit is a hard one to break. I keep a bunch of spices on hand to add to different dishes. The Mrs. Dash varieties are great on everything from meats to veggies to baked potatoes, etc. and they are salt free. I love dill on eggs and also on steamed carrots with a little bit of spray butter.

    This was just a little "splurge" but I bought a non-expensive hand held pepper grinder for peppercorns to get some nicely gound pepper and I've replaced that with salt on a lot of veggies I eat for a little extra punch.
