Wintertime Blues

Wednesday, January 28, 2009

Well the weather is starting to get to me. It is cold, and wet and miserable outside. I had to clear my driveway and sidewalk, make a few clear paths on my deck, and some other paths. Then I had to go to work. Later I may have more to clear, depending on how the weather continues to go. And now I'm tired, and all I want to do is curl back up in my warm cozy bed. I haven't been this tired in weeks, I've really been taking care of myself - eating well, sleeping well, and exercising for the most part. But this snow storm definitely has me drained.

I started this week (Sat-Fri) weighing in daily, and keeping track in an Excel Worksheet. It is looking like I am going to come in anywhere from my target wight for this week up to a half pound lighter. :o) I am really liking this weighing in daily and recording for averages. I think it gives a more accurate picture of how I am doing, and it allows me to look at my weight fluctuations, and see if they have anything to do with how I ate or exercised the day before, so I can see if I need to make changes.

I've been doing really well this week, I think I went over my calories one day. I kind of dropped off with the exercise last Fri, Sat, Sun; which made Mon hard, but I was back in full swing yesterday, and I got 20 mins of snow blowing in so far today, we'll see what happens from there. I'll probably hop on the treadmill at some point when I've had some time to bounce back from the winter blues.
