I've gained 2 pounds in the last 4 days! Grrrr! This is mostly because I had a poor Friday, wrt planning my calories. I anticipated dancing and therefore burning at least 1000 calories (which I did), so got up to my MAX total cals BEFORE I went out dancing. Um, bad idea, seeing as I knew I was going to consume alcohol AND likely get "breakfast" at 3 or 4am after dancing my heinie off for 3+ hours.
So, I ended up being 700 calories over my limit. :(
What is most annoying to me is that one single evening of being 700 calories over my limit of Net 1400 calories led to a 2-pound weight gain. Especially annoying is that I was dancing like mad that evening, burned a lot of calories. And still, the weight gain.
That is OBNOXIOUS and discouraging. I know I'll shed the 2 pounds in a couple days, but it still sets me back a couple days, and that is very very annoying for me. I am so close to my initial goal, and yet STILL 5 pounds away again. GRRRRRRRR.
My metabolism really pisses me off.
Anyway, sorry for the negativity, but y'all, I work so freakin' hard to be healthy with my eating and exercising, it is just getting so annoying when even minor setbacks occur.
Alas. It has not helped that it's been too cold to run this weekend. Today I'd love to go for an 8-mile run, but it's -9, and that's just not safe for my lungs and muscles, so instead I'll do 60 minutes of Tae Bo. Tae Bo is great and all, but I miss running so so so much. I haven't been on a run in 3 weeks. :(
