first treadmill day

I was encourage by some Sparks People who are doing daily treadmill time. Today at work I had free time so I used it for excercise instead of reading as aI normally do. I enjoyed the time I spent on the treadmill. It was not difficult but could become a little boring unless I bring music with me. I am devoting more to thinking of ways to add excerise to my days. I have also walk outside but it is kind of cold for that. I believe excercise is the answer for losing additional weight but I don't know how much will do the trick but I DO know I'm not doing enough yet.
I need a regular plan. Maybe 3 days a week of treadmill and 2 days of sp vidios. I think 1/2 is good for starters. I want to stay aactive because I am in my 60's now and it is easy to get sedentary and that is not a good plan. Retiring means not working but it does not mean not staying active. Sports such as bowling can work for me and I may try yoga. I'm pleased that I am exploring ideas and look forward to weight loss as a bonus. Bernie
