Set up to fail

Friday, January 23, 2009

Okay here it is my second day with spark people. And what do I do? I make cookies? WHY? Why do I do such a thing and set myself up to fail. Did I really think I could resist a warm chewy cookie? I know things like that shouldn't even be in the house. I know this, but yet I still have to LEARN this. The only positive note is, I did not take the attitude (after eating 2 cookies) that I blew it and will ruin the rest of the day. I won't. I will just be more careful as the day goes on. emoticon

I don't think you blew it! I don't know how anyone can stop at just 2 cookies. I think that you did great to make cookies and have just 2. I made cookies last week with my daughters and I had two right away. Then the cookies were calling to me from their ziplock bag in the kitchen all weekend! I ended up having 4 more over the course of 2 days! (to be honest, I probably could have easily eaten them all.) emoticon I wouldn't fret over it; sometimes you have to treat yourself.

MJ... Sometimes we just cave...or plan to...I've had trouble the past two days..I think having to leave the house when someone views it makes me think I deserve a Starbucks...those are calories I do not need!!! I know my anxiousness about the sale of the house drives me insane too..to insanely WANT something buttery and I mean BUTTERY or something SWEET! I just can't keep stuff in the house, but who doesn't have butter or sugar huh?

Today I am wanting bad stuff all day long! I need regular groceries, but have enough to get me through tomorrow so I am NOT going to the store cuz I know I'll cave to candybars.

The other gal is right tho..we can factor two cookies into our day. This is how I've managed the past few months. I can have anything I want, just be careful. I will be SO happy when this house is sold...:)

Yeah, keep on sparkin! K emoticon and pretty soon your jeans will be like this guys!! lol

you didn't blow it! you have to make an eating plan you can stick with for life. two cookies can fit into your calorie plan. Just watch what you are eating. try to get more good for you food, it's more filling and you won't feel like snacking. drink your water. happy sparking!
