OH MY!!!

Friday, January 23, 2009

My missing tooth caused me to gain! I didn't know there was SO much sodium in chicken noodle soup. I may never eat it again! Anyway, when I weighed Thursday morning (the day after the tooth went missing), I was glad to see that I was at my ULTIMATE goal weight (I'm sure that was due to not eating much and trauma). Well, I didn't eat all that much yesterday either, but my sodium content was DOUBLE what it should be. So guess who's trying to drink *LOTS* of water today (I'm not even allowed to use a straw - bummer!)? I'm going out of town for the weekend (oldest grandchild's birthday), but I don't think I'll overeat, since it still kinda hurts to chew.

When I go out to eat and have a lot of sodium I drink a coffee cup of hot lemon water with splenda. It is actually very good. You take a fresh lemon and squeeze all you can out of it into a cup of hot water. Drink it slowly and it will help flush your system of that extra junk. Hope you are feeling better on that tooth.

Oh, yeah! I did warn everyone about canned foods -- and SOUPS are the WORST! Even "low sodium" varieties pack a WHOLLOP of a punch!!!
Oh, I don't know if I could get in my water without my straw! My teeth can't take the icy coldness that my water MUST be! YIKES!
Well, TRY to have a nice weekend!
