ugh,,,, I just wrote a big long blog and when I went to post it, I got a message saying 'no profanity please' There wasn't any profanity!!!!! ugh!!!

So here goes... altho this one won't be nearly as good as the original......

Weighed myself this morning, and I am down to 200lbs!!! WOOT WOOT!! Normally, this number would make me cry, but that's 10lbs since NYE!!! ......AND I did it healthily!!!!

Really, this all started on Jan 7 when I went back to school. When I leave for school, I briskly walk 10 mins to the main intersection to catch a bus. Then when I get downtown, I walk about 10-15 more mins briskly to get to my actual school. Once at school, there are stairs GALORE!!

The first day I walked a small flight of stairs and I was soooo out of breath it was embarrassing. I forced myself to take the stairs almost everyday for the first couple weeks. But I found I was getting headaches from not eating all day and then gorging when I got home.

Last year, my best friend started the Slim in 6 program. In the first month, she lost just over 20lbs, and continued to keep losing. To date, she has kept all the weight off. I was always very averted to 'programs' and pills because I thought 'what happens when you stop doing the program? you gain all the eight back because your body is dependant on it?' But this program is different. It has a variety of workouts (she did the 25 min ones) that you do twice a day. The other part of it is eating better. The diet consists of high protein, low carb and fat, so you're not overly constricted. (well at least, I don't find it constricting...)

At first I was blown away by the portion sizes, things like 4oz serving.. I thought I would starve ! Before, I could eat a whole container of cottage cheese and still keep eating. Now, I eat 3 meals and 3 snacks; roughly every 2 hours I eat something. This is actually more filling than I thought. Its about portion control. It's not a diet, it's learning what, when and how to eat.

I have lost inches and pounds already! I don't feel hungry or deprived, and for the first time, I feel healthy! I suffer from CFS, SAD and mild depression, but for the first time in... EVER, I feel happy, energetic, and healthy! I'm so glad I made this lifestyle change!
