Water, Water everywhere, and I don't like it

Wednesday, January 14, 2009

Water has to be the hardest for me. Do all kinds of tea count or just the herbal ones.

I am determined to get there though. I got up to 6 glasses today

This is a year late, but nevertheless I wanted to add that most liquids count, as well as fruit. I don't drink water either but have stopped worrying about it. The most water I drink is when I gulp down my medication. I might drink a little more in the summer, but in the winter, hardly any. I do drink lots of tea and I love fruit, but am not a fan of sodas and juices. Contrary to popular belief, there is nothing in the medical books that say you HAVE to drink 8 glasses of water. If you're keeping yourself hydrated, hang in there.

I realize that this blog post is nearly a year old, but I had to toss in my two cents. Herbal teas count. The idea is to be properly hydrated and to avoid thirst, which our bodies sometimes interpret as hunger. As long as your drink does not contain caffeine (dehydrates) or calories, it counts as "water."

I was finally able to conquer not wanting to drink water. I actually prefer it to other things. You will be able to do this. Just take it one day at a time or one drink at a time whichever your prefer.

Where as water is now my best friend, I used to have a hard time with it. I didn't care for the flavored water, but now I love water. I drink about 64-88 ozs a day.

I drink decaf tea that I make myself. I think this counts?!

    Good Luck

You just keep pushing yourself to drink it because the more you do, the better and healthier you will be! I know water can sometimes be so hard but it is something that the body needs! So, keep on trucking and DRINKING!

God bless and good luck on your journey!
