A rough couple of weeks...

After a 4 pound loss on 12/23, I got a wake up call with my first gain in weight since starting the program. I gained back 3 of the 4 pounds I had lost and was very upset with myself...but decided that I needed to make some changes...and quickly. I hadn't done anything differently up until then...stayed on program and tracked my food daily.
Exercise and drinking my water have always been issues for me...but there was no reason why I couldn't start drinking water again. When I started the program I drank my water religiously...and for the first time in my life was able to grow strong and healthy nails as a result. About 4 months ago I stopped drinking my water entirely and my healthy nails went back to their normal peeling and tearing.
Now my goal is to drink between 4 and 8 glasses a other beverages (except for my morning cup of coffee...let's be realistic!) until I finished drinking my water for the day. It's been less than 3 weeks and my nails are improving and I lost the weight I had gained back...along with an extra pound!
Right now I am 1 pound away from an 80 pound loss...a little more than halfway to my goal weight. I was afraid that the weight gain was going to sabotage me and my new way of eating...but for the first time in my dieting life I made a decision that helped me get past the obstacle of weight gain...and helped me to start losing again.
