So I'm new to SparkPeople and I am still figuring things out (any suggestions would be appreciated). Not sure just how frequent I will be blogging but a tentative goal will be at least once a week (but I will be checking out my friends blogs pretty much every day so keep blogging). I guess for me a real motivator is seeing and hearing other people who share the same goals i do. So, today as usual I had a long and stressful day at work (we all know how tough it is to kick into gear after a long day at work right? or is that just me...) but I did it and for that I give myself a pat on the back.
I have been taking a martial arts class called Shijian Kenpo for about two months now. I love going to the classes, they push my limits but at the end of the day I feel good about having done it. Correction.... 1 month would be more accurate instead of 2. I started at the end of November last year but its always funny how for whatever strange reason things that need to be done right now tend to fall on the days that I am able to attend Kenpo classes. The holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's) didn't help. As usual I loved class tonight and can't wait for Thursday to show up. After that I decided since I am already sweaty I might as well head to the gym and get a light workout (is the gym ever really fun for anyone?) Guess I have a hard time believing that running on a treadmill or such constitutes fun. I can't wait for the snow around here to melt so I can start riding my bike again. Hmm.... I'm thinking about what motivates me to continue my goal. I feel more confident right now than I did yesterday, to me that's time well spent.
