Week 1

Monday, January 12, 2009

I just finished week 1 with a weigh-in on Sunday morning. It was that pretty so color me disappointed. :(

I am at 179.3 right now which is pretty depressing. That's three pounds heavier than I was two weeks ago, even after all the physical activity.

But in good news, I managed to lose about an inch off of my waist and a quarter inch from my thigh. Those numbers are more important than weight. But I would still like the scale to show a pay-off as well.

Here was my weekly schedule of activities:
Monday: Yoga podcast
Tuesday: 45 minutes cardio; 100 push up challenge
Wednesday: Rest (very long day of student teaching)
Thursday: 45 minutes of cardio; D1W1 of C25k; 100 push up challenge
Friday: Yoga podcast
Saturday: rest
Sunday: 30 minutes of cardio; yoga podcast

I really want to up my cardio numbers, but my school gym closes at weird times and Chicago weather has been insane (blizzard coming tonight!!!!). I am thinking of looking into a day or week pass at Bally's.

My other goal is to figure out how to schedule all of this workout with student teaching in play. I have to get up at 4:45am to get to school for 6:30am so no morning workouts, and most days I dont get home till 7pm (me=one tired music teacher!!!). Anyone have any tips?

Week 1: 179.6 (+2.5lbs)
Week 2 goal: increase amount of cardio time, add more raw food to diet.
