Stability Ball Humiliation

Saturday, January 10, 2009

I have been trying to do some version of the boot camp exercises without a stability ball. So last night I decided to buy one. I searched all over the box to find a weight limit and there was not one listed. Well...........wouldn't you know it, inside is a paper that says the weight limit is 250 pounds. I was thinking that at least it would go up to 300 pounds. Since I can't lose about 70 pounds in a few days I will probably be returning it. Just another reminder of how huge I am. Even though it is changing it just can't happen fast enough.

I can identify with you on how frustrating it is to find out you are too big to do something. Just wanted to tell you keep your chin up and add a stability ball to your list of rewards for when you get to 250 :) You will be so proud of yourself when you get to buy it and bring it home to use it for the first time!!

Patience! Patience! One of the things the enemy love to use on us is negative self-talk. He love to hear us put ourselves down and get our emotional state in an uproar b/c of something that is happening~or not happening~the way "we" want it to. "Slow and steady wins the race" is an old but very wise saying. The slower we lose the weight the more likely we are to keep it off. Sooooooooooo take the ball back and see if they have another one. If they don't, don't let it bother you. Just keep on doing the exercises w/o the ball. I do them w/o it because I can't stay on the crazy things emoticon My best friend tells me I am either blowing up to tight or not tight enough. All I know is that my butt hits the floor and not the ball whenever I try to use it. I put it back in the box. Maybe I'll pull it out again next month!!

    Blessings,
