Obviously, I am not very good at posting blogs here. Yikes! I cant say that I am going to post here often, but I am going to make an effort to keep this updated at least monthly on my progress.

Today I started C25K. I was actually really excited about this when my roommate told me about it. I have always wanted to be a runner, but I really have no discipline to do so. Plus, I hate fluctuating temperatures and the whole outdoors activities. But I am going to do this.

My first jog/walk was actually really satisifying. I didn't think I would be able to do it considering I haven't been physically active in about two or three months. But as soon as I hit the 15 minute mark, I knew I was going to make it. It was so encouraging to hit the 20th minute mark and still have energy to spare. I know that it is going to get harder in the coming weeks, but being able to do day 1 was like a recognition that I haven't fallen too far from the tree.

I am also starting the 100 Pushup Challenge today, as well. I actually started it last week, but I got too sick to keep up with it. I am going to start on Day 2 though.

I love challenges!

Saw your post about winter running, I live south of Chicago do I know what a tough time you're having right now! First this snow and then REAL cold next week. Fortunately I have a treadmill and do most of my running on that. I have completed two 5k's, my first in November and one in December. If you can stick to the program it really is amazing how much you can accomplish. I know, I'm 53 yrs old and can't believe I'm running. I see you've already met Dimitra, she's done an amazing job, we plan on running a 5K together this year, would love to have you join us.
