A job at last!

Tuesday, January 06, 2009

Hallelujah, I found a job! Woohoo! It's not the greatest job (working at Wal-mart) but at least I will have a steady paycheck coming in, and will be able to afford to live, so that's a great thing. I'm back to preparing healthier meals, now I have to ramp up my exercise (like, starting to exercise at ALL...) so I can drop off more of this weight. Spring will be a good time for me, as I'll be doing yard work, prepping the garden, and trying to figure out what I want to plant here in Albuquerque. At first look, the ground seems like plain sand, but when it rains (or snows) it takes on a really healthy glow, like it was dug up from Eden and will grow whatever I want it to. This bodes well, I I'm experimenting with compost (my first time ever doing this) so I'm guessing what I need to do, but doing online research from local and world sites to help me understand what I need for this soil. Life is an adventure, and I am the great explorer who will climb whatever mountain I have to see what's out there. Weight loss and fitness are my two big goals, plus I want to find a dojo so I can improve my muscle tone, and have the mental and spiritual discipline I need to focus on what's important to me.
2009 will be a great year, it just has to be better than 2008!

emoticon emoticon on finding a job. I know that it can be tough, especially in the current economy. And even if it is just Walmart, as you stated, it is still a steady paycheck - it is very exciting!
