weebles wobble but they don't fall down!!!

I had to wait to retrieve my sports bra(S) from the dryer prior to endeavoring on my run today. Nothing like a bolder holder right out of the dryer....warm, snug.... just perfect! The girls sure were appreciative until I pulled on the second one... a little crammed, but they'll appreciate it later.

It was in the 30's today...somewhat nippy for TX, so I pulled out my long-john top and my old Pitt sweatershirt (circa 1990), gloves and that thermal headband thingy that covers my ears. I put on my sun glasses, tucked the MP-3 player in between the 2 layers of the support system and I was off!

It suddenly occurred to me as I was running in the 30 degree weather, that one: I was actually running and 2: Thank God it wasns't 110 degree weather. Gotta aprreciate that!

My thoughts wander until the image of a Weeble Wobble with legs barely inching forward pops into my head . That would be what I look like when I run. Seems as though I can walk faster... my stride is definately longer when I walk. How can that be?

On my last 3 minute run , I kept thinking surely this is almost done and kept on running. Finally after a few "surelys" the guy on the podcast announces: "Ok, your doing great you've got a minute to go." WTF?!?!?!?! For some reason, I got so annoyed with the guy that I kept on running and finished. :) Hey whatever works!

Before I knew it W3D2 done!

Right on!

Hi! I get what you're saying about stride in walking vs. running. I've noticed the same thing. What workout podcast are you using? When I was walking last summer, I liked to walk/run to music (my "system" is simple, I walk one song, run the next, and if I feel like continuing to run, that's what I do ... not very systematic but it was effective last summer in getting me to run as long as 11 minutes straight).

The fact that you're working out in the cold outside is encouraging. I need to do that and just got myself some warmer clothes for working out, but so far I haven't tried them.

    Keep it up!
