New Year, New Start

Last year I missed my goal by 15 pounds. I went from 215 to 178, last year. Then I gained back 2 pounds when I started a new job in December. I went from working retail to having a desk job, so the lack of activity at my job lead to the 2 pound gain. But 2 pounds I can live with. I know I can lose it along with more.
So now that a new year has started I am setting my goal again. When I look back at my pictures of Christmas 2007 and compare them with the pictures of Christmas 2008, I see a difference. I know I felt better about myself this year than I did before. I am happy that I lost as much weight as I did last year.
I have set my goal this year at another 30 pounds. I have learned many healthy habits on Sparkpeople that will help me to continue to lose the extra pounds.
I am looking forward to the summer again and wearing shorts. Maybe I'll even wear a bathing suit this summer!
