The weekend! 5-6 &7, 2006

I had a good weekend despite some of my food choices but still came into range. My hip has been hurting a lot, not sure if the weather is irritating it. My neck is the same way. I had gotten into a wreck in 98 and had to have lots of therapy for it so it hurts every now and then. So hopefully it will stop hurting my hip that is. Didn't do any cardio on Saturday decided to take the day off and spend some time with hubby's parents. They hadn't seen the kids in a couple of weeks so it was time. Hubby was putting his engine in his race car, so we made it out there couple hours later. My daughter is in a phase where she loves race cars anything that has a wheel she uses her imagination and drives "vroom, vroom". She says. So she got in her grandpa's car and pretended like she was driving. To cute I could have left her in there and she would have been content. Hubby's mom gave me a compliment. Said I was looking good and she could tell I was working hard. That made me feel really good. Just sparks my wanting to do better. So we stayed out there all day and hung out and then went and ate dinner at a buffet. I did really well, I don't eat much fried foods really not into that but they had shrimp so I had a small helping but they were good. So I choose foods that were good for me. I didn't want to come and feel guilty about what I had eaten. That was my Saturday.

Sunday-I woke up and my hip was killing me. I was going to go to church but had to lay and take some aspirin. Finally the pain went away. Hubby, kids and I made it to the gym. It was really neat, I got to workout the entire time with hubby. So it was fun. We walked on the treadmill and then and did the strength training together. He usually only does like 4 machines so I showed him my round and he liked it much better. He needs to get an assessment done but wants to wait until he loses more weight. He doesn't want to get embarrased so I am not going to push the issue. I think he is doing great. Last Sunday he got on the elliptical and couldn't do even 2 minutes without his knees hurting but today he did 25 minutes on the arc trainer. I was so estatic for him. I know it helps him with I cheer him on. I want him to succeed. He is my biggest cheerer and I am for him. He just makes me proud when he trys. Right now he is going through a plateu and its really getting him down so I have been trying to pull him out of that. So today I did 38 minutes treadmill, 1Xcircuit training and 30 minutes arc trainer losing over 8 hundred calories. So busy day today. My neighbor came over and brought clothes for my daughter and we were talking and she said she joined a gym and I told her that we did and she said yeah I know my husband and I can tell you've lost a lot of weight. To have my neighbors notice is a huge deal for me. So it just makes me stronger and motivates me to stick to my journey.
