The Starbucks experience!

emoticonI know how you feel! Each special beverage and pastry seems designed to be delightfully addictive. I have found that starbucks is a great place to socialize and be among people, but I have to be careful or I will be back to unlimited calories everyday! I like to go there almost daily so I had to set some boundaries on what I would have. As a rule I always ask for non fat and add only sugar free syrups and plain spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. I am a sugar fiend so I only add what does not contribute calories. I design my own "skinny" drinks, like the pseudo cinnamon bun, 3 pumps SF carmel, 3 SF cinnamon dolce and one pump SF hazelnut added to espresso or drip coffee, iced I add my own non fat, hot I ask for non fat steamed milk with extra foam. The extra foam makes it festive without the fat and sugar they put in whipped cream. Like all fast food, there are healthy choices, I just have to decide my limits before hand.     Thanks for sharing how you can make "skinny" drinks. I like to socialize at Starbucks also. My downfall is CHAI.
