BACK TO OUR REGULAR SCHEDULE

I have not been on line since Thanksgiving. We went out of town for Thanksgiving and when I came home my computer was dead. I was heartbroken. I told Hubby why do things always happen at the wrong time. We were doing our Christmas shopping and had a budget. Two years ago when we had done out shopping we turned on our TV and it was gone. We got an additional Christmas present we were not planning on that year. Well, this year we vowed to stick to the budget. No going over regardless. We had not allowed the price of a new computer in our budget. So, I figured I was just going to have to make it at the library until my bonus at work in April. This meant that I would not have time for Sparkpeople. The week before Christmas Hubby took me to Best Buy. He was looking for something on his list. We walked around the store and he wanted to stop at the computers. I did not, as I did not want to look a them. Finally, he told me to pick one out. I selected a very inexpensive one. No frills, etc. He talked with one of the guys there and told him my uses, etc. He told me the one I selected would work, but I was not going to be happy. Hubby kept on until he had upgraded me a lot. It was a total surprise to me. I had not ask for it, but he knew I really wanted a replacement. He would call me from work to find that I was at the library waiting on a computer. He purchased several of the programs that I use and had them put on for me.
He told me that he knew I never bugged him about my computer and I never ask for a new one or update until mine had totally died. The one I had 7 years, so I believe that I got my money out of it.
I could not have been happier. He is such a good Hubby.
The good news is that over the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, I only gained 3 pounds and I did not do without special treats. Also, I have lost one of those since Christmas.
I have really missed my sparks buddies and hope to catch up with all of you shortly
