December 31 Progress Report

Since I started Spark on November 16, 2008, I've lost 6 pounds. I feel good about that, especially since I had the holidays to deal with. But I've been yo-yo'ing since I started, so I sat down and calculated how much I had gained and lost since that time. (Caution: the following is pretty discouraging). In the approximately six weeks I've been on the plan, I've LOST 26 POUNDS and gained back 20!!!

I have to be honest: the reason I'm not doing much better is because of the 3-5 glasses of wine I usually drink. So for the past 3 days, I haven't had any wine, and I lost 3 pounds in that time. When I don't have wine, I can follow the plan so much better! So for this next month, I'm going to stay off the wine and see what happens. Oh, and I think I'll try putting away the salt shaker for this month also. Wish me luck!

    Wow, that's a big difference leaving out the wine! Congrats on figuring that out and being willing to make the change. Best of luck to you in reaching your goal in 2009!
