"Yea, Yea, Today is my Birthday"!

Thursday, December 11, 2008

Today I am 47 years old, did I actually say that out loud! My birthday wish for myself is to get healthy for my 48th birthday. I really don't mind being older, I feel more liberated now that I am in my mid fourties and I am doing things for me! Yesterday as a Birthday gift to myself I joined a local community fitness center near my work. It has a track, pool, awesome state of the art workout center, personal trainers, aerobic, and yoga classes, with sauna ect. They have a running for the 5k class starting in jan, that I signed up for. I plan on doing a 5k in march so I'm sure this will help me prepare for it. emoticon

Happy Birthday (a few days late)!! emoticon I'm a December birthday person, too - just got a few more years on you - turned 61 on Wed, the 10th! I'm with you. Getting older is liberating. What a great gift you gave yourself. emoticon

A fun tradition I've been following since improving my health has been to go to RealAge.com each year on my birthday and fill out ALL the extensive questions they ask to determine what one's "REAL" age is.

The fun, super thing has been as I age, my REAL age has dropped! In 2007 I turned 51, real age was 49. This year I turned 52 and my real age was 48!

It's wonderful to grow YOUNG, not OLD! :-)
