Things I will be working on before the next race.....

The race yesterday was good but here are a few things I realized that I need to work on before running another race.....

My time for the 3.2 miles was 36 minutes.... OUCH.... not the best time. My next race I will be getting that time down.... Way down! Another thing I need to work on is running outside. All of my training for this race was indoors... BIG NO-NO.... I did not know how to control my breathing with that cold air hitting my lungs. And lastly.... I will make sure to not have coffee before a run... Just not good! It would have been better to stick to plain water.

I will be working on these things for next time. I will keep everyone posted on when I will be running again.

    and dont concentrate on the race. . Sometimes when I run my best is when I am just going out to run and have a good time.. It takes the butterflies away and it helps you relax. Mind is huge in running too. . . and yesterday when you were feeling like you wanted to quit and walk and I told you NO. . and then you repeated it. . that was AWESOME!!!!! Thats the mind-set you need running!!!!! I know you can do it. . and honestly Elaine. . that time is not that bad if you think about it. .. and it is only going to improve so I wouldnt worry about it. Your are awesme and Im soooo proud of you. .. Hopefully you can come watch me run the 8k on Thursday. =]
