Where does the time go??

I'm just excited to note here that I've actually joined a gym, and have been there 4 out of the last 6 days!! I really thought the elliptical would be tough from what I've heard from others, but I got 30 min (granted, at the lowest level) the first day, and have done 45 min each day since. I have moved up a level, too. I also got in time on the stationary bike, and treadmill (but have done most of the treadmill at home). Yesterday, DD and I had an orientation on how to use all the strength equipment, so tomorrow, DD says we start our full blown workouts. . . I'm just really wanting to burn, burn, burn calories, and do the strength exercises. (I'm already looking at a 2 lb loss on the scales since 3 days ago, but official weigh in day isn't for another 4 days! So, woohoo!! I'm ready for something to start happenin'!

The last couple of months have been up and down - up a couple of pounds, and then work to get them back off. . . I think I only lost one pound for the month of October. . . which I guess is better than a gain. And I lost 1 1/2 inches in October.

Anyway, I've got a little less than 6 months before weddings start, and I'm gonna work to get into the smallest dresses I can!

Good for you! Congrats on the two weddings, that is so exciting! We're hoping our oldest will be getting engaged soon, perhaps at for the gym, I love my time there, it's so empowering and cathartic. Spin class does take a few times to get comfortable on the bike ( your butt will adapt pretty quickly) but, I find it to be the best workout because I never dog it, no matter how I'm feeling that day.
Thanks for your message on my blog. It's always nice to hear from you. My son's game was awesome, the entire experience was memorable and a fitting conclusion for him (though since they won, they'll get to play one more game). Even the ominous weather co-operated and provided us with a extraordinary day of near 70 degrees and the rain stopped and sun came out! I'm ok with turning the page, and my husband and I have certainly began to make the transition and are enjoying it immensely!

Keep up the great job at the gym. I found the best workouts in Women's Muscle and Fitness magazine and they do a great job with "how-to" as well.

Great Job Deb!! Just make sure you are eating enough while you are burning all those extra calories.

How fun that you & your daughter can do it together!
