What time-savers help you eat healthy when you're busy?

Planning ahead....that is definitely the most important thing for me. If I am aware I have a busy time coming up, I need to look ahead and plan for that time. I also like the use of the crockpot. If I know I am going to have a busy afternoon, I can get dinner ready in the morning by placing it in the crock pot. That takes planning too.
Otherwise, I try to keep some staples in the house and some quick meal ideas always on hand for those times. Goes along with eating out too. I'd rather have a few ideas on hand then get stuck "ordering out" for dinner or eating out. Those options cost more for us and are not as healthy. One of my regular easy meals is shrimp and pasta. Another is stir fry, usually chicken or shrimp stir fry.
I also have an array of fruits and vegetables as well as nuts in the house to have a quick snack while I am making dinner if I don't have a lot of time.
