celebrating what happened a year ago!

Tuesday, October 28, 2008

Last year on Sept, 19th...I joined SP because my birthday was coming on, I was going to be turning the big 5 OHHH, and wanted to find me, and be happy again...on my birthday I weighed 180 pounds, wore a size 16-18 and was "fluffy"
I was so excited that on my birthday I had already lost 24 pounds in a month emoticon
I looked kind of like gallon milk jug..( lol)
But I knew this program was working, and I had made some wonderful wonderful friends..I was challenged by a few of my new friends, emoticon Stephanie. and my groups..they really stuck in there and kept me going.
Then it happened the holidays was coming, Thanksgiving and Christmas I was scared stiff, thinking I might gain what I had lost, and reading that the average Thanksgiving meal a person can consume 2000 calories... emoticon
So we all talked about it, and I tell you..the things you learn here if you really apply them, and are honest with logging your meals, you will do it!
I was careful, I watched what I ate, NO snacking..or testing the food I was cooking..lol..
and drank LOTS of water!!!
and I made it...I didn't gain, so I was sooooooooo excited!
I started exercising, and now have became totally addicted, I started with the gazelle, then the body ball, and riding my horse!
The big day came!...valentines day emoticon
and I MET MY GOAL! emoticon
I was at 140 pounds!!!
And smaller then my horse jim...LOL
and went from a size 18-20
to a sexy size 8
When I got to my goal, people ask...are you going to stay with SP or are you going to leave...
OMG I am staying!
I learned that I can eat, just NOT eat the whole thing!
I learned how to help my friends when they are in the struggling stages.
I have maintained my weight loss, for 9 months!
by still logging my foods, and DRINKING tons of water emoticon
I wish everyone that success I have had with Spark People, and those friends your finding along the way, will mean the world to you..And take pictures of your progress, its amazing when you look back at them.
And if you ever need someone to just give you a little push along the way, I am here...
And now I am a " done girl.." hehehe
hugs ya all
