New Personal Best -- 4 mile run

I broke my previous best in the four mile run.

That record was quite old as my best five mile run was at a faster pace than that four mile run. Still, I had been slacking a couple of weeks and just used the last two weeks to try to bring myself up to my old standards. Well, my previous three mile best was 23:30 which is at a pace of 7:50 seconds. And according to mapmyrun, my four mile run (which is actually slightly longer than four miles) was at a 7:55 pace.

Since it was a slightly slower pace on a slightly longer run, I consider myself to be at least back to where I was and I'm very happy about that.

Now that I'm back to where I was, I'm definitely ready to improve. The Denver marathon was this saturday. Maybe in another year, I can run a marathon.

I haven't decided to commit to that yet. Instead, I just want to keep on improving. I'd rather set a goal of running a 10k or running a 5k in under 20 minutes for now, but that might be in my future.
