I've been doing the Curves Smart workout for a month now. If the numbers are correct for a calorie burn I have been averaging around 525+ 5 days a week. I have been making great progress on the workout and feel great. I have been really watching what I eat. It has been healthy foods and though true in the upper part of my range, I GAINED HALF a POUND this month. Plus the dumb little thing they use to do body fat said there was a ONE and a HALF Pound gain of FAT! Like I said WHAT GIVES? Though I measured a total of 3" smaller (that's 2 thighs, 2 arms, and abdomen) I was 1/2" larger on my waist and a .60% gain of body fat??? OK, I know the instrument they use has all kinds of things they say that throw the readings off (like water intake- I drink around 12 cups a day on average) and I still wonder why they use it. It has done nothing except discourage me. I had hoped that Smart would help me start losing again...I even added a lot more walking/jogging into the mix and nothing. Could it be just a menopausal change? I haven't lost since I stopped my periods last year! In fact I have had some steady and discouraging gains.
I wish I could write something more up beat like soooo many, but I just can't.
