MY Calculations

Friday, October 10, 2008

Okay, so I did a bit of calculating. In any case, I round up or down for my (lack of benefit) meaning if I calculate my RMR (Resting Metabolic rate to be 1350, I round down 1300, so that I don't allow myself (extra calories).

so - my resting metabolic rate is 1300. That is, when I'm not doing anything - my daily life - I'm buring 1300 calories. Yey, just from existing I burn 1300 calories!

every day I plan to make sure that my calories in are equal to or less than my calories out

now, my Basal Metabolic Rate is 1800 (based on Lightly Active - again, rounding down even though I'd consider myself moderately active).

therefore my GENERAL goal is to not eat any more than 1500 per day.

Each day I will complete this calculation=

____ Calories I eat - (1300(cal i burn naturally) + ____(cal i burn working out) = (I want this to be a negative number)

It takes 3500 burned calories to burn one pound which is 1750 calories to burn 1/2 pound (my goal)

Therefore I need to burn (be in the negative) 250 calories per day to lose 1/2 a pound per week.

I CAN DO THIS!!!!
