I'm not on a diet!

OK, major light bulb moment this am. I had three pieces of pizza last night. They were so yummy! I looked up the calories before I ate them to make sure it was ok. I'm actually consciously thinking about the food that goes in my mouth! I don't eat just to eat! But the big thing is that when I thought about the pizza I ate, it wasn't in the terms of " well that wasn't on my diet " it was food I choose to eat. Because this is my LIFE! And this is a life style change!

    Great thinking! Often I see posts that say something like; how do you avoid your favorite food, or how do you tell yourself no? My response is I don't tell myself no. I either tell myself to wait, or eat in moderation or eat what I want and count it. I agree...as long as you prepare for it, then you can have it. There is nothing wrong with pizza or ice cream. Sure they contain more calories and fat than an apple, but they also allow for balance. I must say I've been craving pizza for 4 days. Perhaps that's exactly what we'll have for dinner.
    I guess we aren't on a diet, but rather on a misson to consciously decide what we are going to use as fuel for our bodies. emoticon
